Case study
01
Context & problem
Redesign Volume Village’s digital presence so the venue and its programme feel intuitive, engaging, and true to the culture beneath Ringgadebroen.
02
Users
Aarhus Volume and audiences discovering music, art, raves, events, and the community around the venue.
03
My responsibility
In a four-person EAAA team, I contributed competitive analysis, segmentation, affinity mapping, sitemap, user flow, ideation, moodboard, accessibility work, and programming of the randomizer.
04
Research & evidence
The team combined desk and field research, interviews, competitive analysis, segmentation, personas, and affinity mapping to identify audience and venue needs.
05
Design decisions
We turned the venue identity and research into a sitemap, user flow, prototypes, moodboard, accessible interaction choices, and a clearer route into events.
06
Technical implementation
I programmed the randomizer and contributed frontend and accessibility work within the team’s live prototype and repository.
07
Process
A Double Diamond process connected discovery, definition, ideation, and iterative prototyping across the one-month collaboration.
08
Testing & evaluation
The team ran think-aloud usability testing and used the findings to evaluate the prototype.
09
Final result
A live prototype, repository, and documented process were delivered to Aarhus Volume after the one-month collaboration.
10
Limitations & learning
This was a time-boxed student collaboration. The prototype is not presented as Aarhus Volume’s current production website, and no long-term impact data is claimed.
