Case study
01
Context & problem
Build a credible direct-to-consumer fragrance maison where editorial storytelling and commerce work as one system.
02
Users
Fragrance customers exploring the house, its scent stories, products, availability, and purchase path.
03
My responsibility
I own the product direction, brand experience, interface design, implementation, and day-to-day operation.
04
Research & evidence
Evidence comes from operating the live product and reviewing its critical technical and commerce paths. No formal external discovery or usability study has been completed.
05
Design decisions
Editorial scent stories, product chapters, availability guidance, the boutique, and checkout share one restrained system so narrative and purchase intent stay connected.
06
Technical implementation
I built a responsive frontend and Vercel API routes for checkout, customer email, waitlist, and administrative workflows.
07
Process
I develop the maison in small, release-ready chapters, checking each new editorial or commerce flow before it joins the live system.
08
Testing & evaluation
I verify critical technical and commerce paths before release; no formal external usability study has been completed.
09
Final result
A live platform spanning the maison, scent atlas, product chapters, journal, boutique, and supporting commerce operations.
10
Limitations & learning
This is an independently developed and operated product. Claims about customer behaviour or conversion would require independent user research and production analytics.
